Cybercrime Bill and the bigger Picture - car-003

This document was sent to All Leaders and Representatives in the Parliament of Barbados Sep 2024

I write this letter with a heavy heart. Since 2019, our world has changed into something I can scarcely recognize. Now, in my sunset years, I look ahead with deep concern for the future my children and grandchildren will face in this country. If you possess any wisdom, you should know that today it is me, but tomorrow it will be you. The powers will eventually have you and yours on their menu.

I will get straight to the point. I was part of a team examining how we can respond to the Cybercrime Bill currently passing through parliament to become “law” in Barbados. This bill underwent a prolonged review by both the public and an appointed committee - we know why. And to what end? Very little changed, except that the penalties increased from seven to ten years, and the maximum fine rose from $70,000 to $100,000 — an interesting move.

I did not say this to the team, but I will write it here: This world has come under the power of the evil one. We are living in the last days before the return of a righteous King. He promised He would come again, and He will. The days of the evil one and his cohorts — including governments, health institutions, and others — are numbered.

You do not believe in God? It does not matter (Intro to the Bible Codes); I write to those who do. At the end of our days, the pleasures we chase and the material possessions we accumulate will not follow us. What will follow us is the way we lived our lives and how we treated others through the decisions/choices we made. What I see happening in the world’s system of government tells me that our leaders no longer represent the people; they represent the evil one.

This is why I am writing to warn you.

At the end of our days, we will hear one of two things: "Well done, good and faithful servant," or "Depart from me, you who practice iniquity (wrongdoing/sin)." As a leader, your decisions will determine your eternal destiny. My prayer is that you choose to stand up for what is good, not for what is evil. You may lose everything in this world for doing the right thing, but that is a small price compared to losing your soul. Remember, the God I speak of is able to sustain us in both life and death; all we need is to trust in Him.

If you do stand, I thank you for standing for your neighbor and for God. I will attach my name to this letter. I am not afraid, the worst thing the evil one can do to me is to kill me, nothing more. Through my King, I WILL RISE AGAIN.
